This Mother’s Day, I want to dedicate my gratitude to three beautiful blessings in my life ❤️
First… to my Amma.
Thank you for silently guiding, nurturing, protecting and motivating me throughout my life without expecting anything in return.
The only expectation you ever had from me was that I should be happy and get what I truly wanted in life.
That is the most selfless form of love.
Even though you are not physically with me today, I experience you in my thoughts, emotions, culture and behaviour. Everything beautiful that I carry within me is your gift.
You never claimed anything for what you did for me.
Happy Mother’s Day, Amma ❤️
I can never come close to the contribution you made in my life.
My second gratitude is to my children.
Oh my God… my three kids are so different from each other, yet so loving and caring in their own ways.
The day they were born, my life found a deeper meaning. Their contribution to my life is enormous.
We think we are teaching, guiding and nurturing our children… but many times, it is actually the other way around.
They teach us patience, forgiveness, unconditional love and strength.
They make us mature.
They reconnect us with our roots and remind us of the innocent child within us.
No matter how stressful life becomes, just their smile or a simple “Amma, what happened?” melts everything within me and brings back my smile.
I feel deeply blessed to experience motherhood through them.
Thank you God… and thank you my children ❤️
My last gratitude goes to all the women who may not have given birth to a child, yet nurture many little hearts with immense love and care.
Like Yashoda, they see their child in every little one around them.
In fact, I sometimes feel they are even greater… because they know that the children they love, nurture and care for may leave after a few days, months or years. Yet they continue to love wholeheartedly without claiming anything in return.
In this world of profit and loss, one thing that still remains beyond calculation is a mother’s love.
Motherhood is not limited to giving birth.
Every woman who genuinely nurtures, protects and gives unconditional love carries the essence of a mother within her 🌸
Wishing every mother a beautiful Mother’s Day.
May we celebrate ourselves with gratitude, love and pride ❤️
